The Devil Wears Prada Bookcover Redesign
This concept project explores a modern redesign of the book cover for The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger. My goal was to create a bold and fashion-forward design that reflects the book’s themes of luxury and empowerment.
Process Work & Design
The redesign began with understanding the themes and message behind the novel. I experimented with layouts, typography and imagery to set the tone of of luxury, ambition and empowerment. The concept evolved into a bold and minimalistic design that visually reflects the novel’s story and message.
The final design uses a black, white and red colour palette to portray empowerment, sophistication and adds a dramatic element. The black and white stilettos with devil horns and angel wings reference the symbolism of the novel and create a strong focal point. Clean typography and and high contrast were used to make an impact.
*All copy featured on the book cover is taken from the original novel. This redesign was created solely for conceptual and design portfolio purposes.
